It’s a little early, but 2009 is starting to look like the year of the crazy sunglass. First, Versace and Dior Homme sent highly stylized pairs down their spring runways, and now comes Barneys’ typically twisted take on that old standard, the Wayfarer. Designed by hipster-friendly Italian brand Super, they come in a tiger-striped tortoiseshell frame and (as you can see) gold lenses. Subtle? Hardly, but these are made to attract attention. Price remains TBD, but with only 50 pairs available when they go on sale next month, we’re guessing they won’t come cheap.
