A personal favourite of mine, the legendary writer, director, cartoonist, producer, artist Ralph Bakshi who pioneered animation with adult themes using political commentary and satire has teamed up with Supreme for a small collection. Isreali born Bakshi’s early work saw him animate scenes for characters such as Mighty Mouse, Heckle & Jeckle, Deputy Dawg, Foofle & Lariat Sam an by 25 he was directing these shows as well as Sad Cat, James Hound and many others. His distinct style saw him produce a lot high profile work including animations such as Spiderman, perhaps most challanging Fritz the Cat, the controversy Coonskin, highly acclaimed Wizards, 1978’s The Lord of the Rings with out any exageration I have only named a few. The actors he has worked with in more recent times either as a producer, director roll of the tongue and include Harvey Keitel, Brad Pitt, Kim Basinger, Gabriel Byrne, Alicia Silvertsone Jared Leto. Ralph Bakshi has created controversy in all his films while continuously breaking new ground in his art form making him a perfect candidate to work with skatewear label Supreme who always go to the boundaries. The items produced include a Coach Jacket, Racing Jacket, a tee, black Feded Jeans and a zipper and the items will release in the not to far future at Supreme stores and In Bloom.

His legendary status was really proclaimed when The Museum of Modern Art added his films to their collection for preservation, take a look at this film belpw for a taste of his work.
