Here is a great new Swedish label called The Local Firm which provokes the freedom of interpretation, “We wanted a non-name, in the sense that it’s free for any person to interpret, or to find out about for themselves,” explains Axel Nyhage. Providing a very interesting feel by taking inspiration from art, architecture, and design from the late 20th century Eastern Bloc and the German Bauhaus movement. Featuring both menswear and womenswear, the first collection releasing this Fall from The Local Firm is very “experimental” from dyed denim to wide trousers matched with “sobering” black and gray shirts and strong shouldered blazers. Although my pick from the two designers, Axel Nyhage and Richard Hutchinson who both worked at Tiger of Sweden Jeans are the impressive and eye catching stadium jacket.
