If you haven’t already heard the news, a new film is in the works focusing on legendary MC, Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Entitled Dirty White Boy, the film will portray ODB – born Russell Jones – and his relationship with Jarred Weisfeld, a 22-year-old VH1 production assistant who gradually became the rapper’s manager. Ol’ Dirty is set to be played by acclaimed actor Michael K Williams, who is well known for his roles as Omar on HBO’s The Wire and as dapper gangster Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire. Take a look at the photos above – we think Williams will pull the look off quite well. The film’s screenplay was written by Brent Hoff, with backing from Weisfeld – whom Hoff knew at VH1 – and Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s mother, Cherry Jones. No word on a release date yet.
