When Roy Choi and his business partner Mark Manguera came up with the idea of venturing into the food truck business back in 2008, no one would have imagined that they were about to create a widely spread food phenomenon. The Kogi Korean BBQ enterprise and its chef Roy Choi are credited with inventing a hugely popular dish of the Korean-Mexican fusion cuisine: the Korean Taco. For the TRANSMISSION LA: AV CLUB curated by Mike D, Roy Choi will set up a pop-up restaurant in front of the venue, serving up Korean Tacos for hungry punters. Directed by Joe Termini.
