News This Week

The writers and editors at SlamXHype spend their whole lives on the Internet — yes, it’s sad– scouring the vast reaches and recesses of it’s digital landscape to find the coolest shit around. They’re black belts at it and, thus at the art of the link roundup.

Some of that stuff finds it’s way onto SlamXHype’s website, others come straight here as SlamXWeekly, a curated set of links to the best and most awesome stuff that the interwebs has to offer.

SlamXWeekly arrives every Friday, so check out the round up below then, then check back next week for more.

Ronnie Fieg and the Kith NYC team were over in Paris for their “Coat of Arms” pop-up shop. Here’s a recap of everything that went down. There’s also an official video.

An artist named Desire Obtain Cherish likes to create sculptures that explore our obsession with consumerism and luxury. See above then see more on Beautiful/Decay.

Check out GlamXGarb‘s list of 5 Kith “Coat of Arms” Travel Essentials from a slew of creatives, fashion trendsetters, and one very good athlete who were in Paris for the pop-up.

French Montana has a monkey now. He named it, Julius Ceasor (yes, misspelled) and it apparently eats lobster on private jets.

KANYE WEST NEWS: Yeezus’ Fall/Winter 2014 A.P.C. collection has arrived and it’s lookbook is as weird as the mind of the man himself.

Also, 12 Years A Slave director Steve McQueen chopped it up with Kanye for Interview Magazine. What does West mean by “Life is a performance.”?

Justin Bieber was arrested for drag racing and DUI. But the best thing to come out of the debacle was the young Canadian’s mugshot, which got flipped right into this sexually confusing Bieber/Miley Cyrus look-a-like meme.

This GIF nails the point home even better/more sexually confusingly.

Human cannibalism is apparently a very real thing. But the creepiest part? It’s unclear whether this website, Mukis Kitchen, is offering this up as a joke.

And if PornHub comments pasted on stock photos is more your thing, follow the Tumblr here.
