When The Big Lebowski premiered in 1998, it was met by underwhelming reviews. I know, right? How could a masterpiece like this be so brazenly under-appreciated by those finicky ’90s film critics?

Well, in due time the Coen Brothers‘ now-classic tale of an L.A. slacker found global acclaim on a cult level and has since spawned innumerable fan clubs and spoofs.

The latest of these comes to us courtesy of CineFix. The Big Lebowski – 8 Bit Cinema transforms The Dude’s story into a low-def video game romp, cutting the action down into a neat 3-minute edit.
