A year in the making, British designer Alex Chinneck has completely made over the front of an abandoned building in Margate, England, warping the facade so that it concaves smoothly down to the street. Entitled, From the Knees of My Nose to the Belly of My Toes, the idea is that the frontage has melted and slipped down from the burnt-out upper, exposing the charred interior still partially intact upstairs. The structure is scheduled to come down next year, but for now can be viewed by the public at 1 Godwin Road, Cliftonville, Margate, CT9 2HA.
