Belgian design collective Indianen have created something quite remarkable – a screen-printed paper record that can be played on a turntable or using a handheld light sensor.Printed onto 12 inch optical discs, the rotating patterns created on the turntable generate similar waveforms to those of an audio file. Using coding software to generate the patterns, the motion outputs sound when the record passes over special light sensing electronic hardware. See for yourself in the preview below.
