Joey Roth Ceramic Subwoofer
Joey Roth designs products to articulate the beauty of everyday rituals. He combines simple functionality with honest, unfinished materials that become more personal as they take on a patina of use. This subwoofer by the designer combines perfect function with a utilitarian finish, that pairs beautifully with the Ceramic Speakers it is seen here with, also by Joey Roth. The Ceramic Subwoofer extends your system’s frequency response down to 40 Hz. While you will physically feel bass-heavy music, you’ll also notice new richness in vocals and acoustic instruments. The sound is neither boomy nor aggressive, but a balanced completion of the Ceramic Speakers. Aside from the electronic components, plastic is completely avoided in the system’s construction, with the subwoofer’s enclosure made up of stainless steel, porcelain and Baltic birch plywood . A 50 watt Class D amplifier and 6.5″ neodymium magnet paper diaphragm driver complete this package. Shipping from December 2012, find more info here.
