First produced in 1979, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has seen the longest production run of any SUV in the brand’s line up, but is about to be discontinued after three decades of appeal. To send the model off in style, the German automaker has revealed the G-Class Cabriolet “Final Edition”, taking familiar elements of the much-loved vehicle and adding another level of luxury and performance inside, outside and under the hood. Weighing in with a 5.5 litre V8 engine boasting 388 horsepower / 398 lb-ft of torque, the SUV’s body comes in a classic metallic black, while the interior is dressed in luxe beige leather to match the soft top roof. 200 models of the “Final Edition” have been produced, with each vehicle already pre-sold to keen buyers.
