Renewable energy is becoming more and more popular as companies, individuals and governments look for green alternatives to older forms to both help the environment and costs. The latest example of this is the SOL Solar Powered Laptop, which can last for 10 hours after two hours of a solar charge. The laptop offers an intel processor, WiFi, an HD display, Ubuntu OS and a satellite module for internet access. It seems like the device could be great for just about anyone, but it will be of particular use in developing countries, where it has the potential to grant computer access to communities with otherwise limited access to electricity. It’s set to retail at $300.
