We’ve been hearing rumours of a Tupac biopic in the works for a while now, and it’s just been confirmed the film is going ahead. The $45 million production will be directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) as well as executive produced by Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur. According the to project synopsis, the film will centre on “the life and legacy of Tupac Shakur, from his emergence as a young artist, through his imprisonment, and last prolific years that catapulted him into the upper echelon of American cultural icons.” Needless to say, we’re pretty stoked about this news. Casting details are yet to be revealed – we’ll keep you posted.
