Here is an insightful look at the 2013 S3 Sportback with the car to be unveiled at Geneva in March. Amongst the features are a 2.0-liter TFSI, direct-injection turbo engine that produces 300 HP (221 kW) at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) between 1,800 and 5,500 rpm – a top speed of 155 mph is boasted with the ability to do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in five seconds flat. In addition quattro permanent all-wheel drive and a redesigned multi-plate clutch, this allows quicker acceleration and more control on corners while the S sport suspension, which lowers the body by 25 millimeters (0.98 in), the axle-load distribution (59% to 41%, front to rear) and new, progressive steering contribute significantly to sporty handling. The advanced steering movements determine the steering ratio while the lightweight construction completes significantly to improved performance.
