Can you believe that Facebook now has one billion users? It’s mind-blowing. To celebrate the fact, Mark Zuckerberg and his team have launched the social network’s first major advertisment. Dubbed, “The Things That Connect Us” the ninety second long video was created by Wieden & Kennedy and directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. Zuckerberg has stated that the commercial was made with the intent to  “honor the people we serve” and “express what our place is on this earth,” adding that Facebook belongs to a “rich tradition of people making things that bring us together.” (Source: Engadget)
