Jeff Koons has been commissioned to design the label for Chateau Mouton Rothschild vintage. Koons is the latest in a lineage of artists, annually commissioned by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild to design a new label image. If you need proof of the calibre of artists involved, previous contributors include names like Dali, César, Miró, Chagall, Picasso, Warhol, Soulages, Bacon and Balthus. For his label, Koons has taken Boticelli’s Birth of Venus as his base and added an illustration in silver pen. These labels will be seen to adorn bottles of Chateau Mouton Rothschild vintage in the near future.
