The Nikon COOLPIX A is the brands first effort at producing a DX-format compact camera. The COOLPIX A features a 16 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and a 28mm equivalent, F2.8 prime Nikkor lens. The optional add-on viewfinder makes up for the lack of an optical viewfinder. With the ability of shooting 12- or 14-bit raw images at a sensitivity ranging from ISO 100-25,600 this makes for an impressive design.
