Got a spare $42,000 USD? If you answered ‘yes’, or even ‘I wish’,  you may be interested to know that RED have introduced their latest product, the Epic-M Monochrome cinema camera to the market for the above price tag. The new camera uses a black/white and white only Mysterium X sensor, offering a 15-20 percent increase in effective resolution over its chromatic sensor. The camera’s native ISO of 2,000 doubles that of the Epic-M and X chromatic cameras. Those that purchase the camera will receive a free upgrade to RED’s new Dragon Monochrome sensor when it releases next year. The Epic-M Monochrome cinema camera will be available from October 1. (HB)
