Aaron Robinson of Car and Driver Magazine lifts the hood on his original 1970 Lamborghini Espada Series II in the latest episode of the magazine’s Tested series. When you think of Lamborghini, the Espada is not the first model that springs to mind, but it does have a legacy unto itself, and Robinson’s vehicle is testament to the continuing beauty (although some might disagree) of the Series II. The unique and ambitious design reminds us that Lamborghini began as a young company (with many of the designers in their 20s), who set out to stake an aspirational claim in the world of supercars against the Ferrari giant.
