With a very heavy football inspiration leading this seasons look for adidas Y-3’s 2010 Spring/Summer collection, designer Yohji Yamamoto stepped out after his showing accompanied by one of the world’s most famous soccer players; Zinedine Zidane, to take a penalty kick. Wrapping up an energetic runway show of ready to wear basics, splashed with primary colors (which also represented flag colors), the overall aesthetic was a mix up of sports uniforms and training gear with some occasional tailoring. Stand out garments being the wide sports-mesh knitted fabric in bright colors. Have a look at the full collection here.
