DoBeDo Photography Series Tee Shirts Release

A little while ago, we informed you about DoBeDo’s Photography Series tee shirts, and now we would like to let you know that as of this coming Monday, they will be available. Photographers Mario Sorrenti, Dick Jewell, Shawn Mortensen, Chardchakaj Waikawee, Mark Lebon, and Jack Day have all provided some exclusive work for this new series of shirts. Check inside for more information.

WHAT YOU GET
subscribers will receive: a subscription certificate and the 6 ‘DoBeDo Photographer Series’ Tshirts (+ each comes with a small 6×4 print and has the photographer’s signature printed inside the collar).

Tshirt #001 will be sent immediately after the subscription is paid for, #002 on 15th january 2009, and then the following four Tshirts at 6 week intervals up until 1st june 2009.

please note if you are buying the subscription as a christmas present, royal mail’s final guaranteed post is 20th december.

THE PHOTOGRAPHERS
#001 the first Tshirt in the ‘DoBeDo Photographer Series’ is by Jack Day. Jack Day is a young documentary photographer born in london in 1984. Day uses a wide variety of small format cameras to capture characters, objects, and situations he stumbles across on his travels though london. his daily diary photos can be found here at DoBeDo.co.uk, ‘Sid I warned you’ 2008, is an image taken in shepard’s bush, london, on thursday 13th march 2008.

#002 Mario Sorrenti is a new york based fashion photographer, who since shooting the ‘obsession’ campaign for calvin klein at 21 years old, has worked for a huge variety of fashion houses and magazines including dior, yves saint laurent, dolce & gabanna, italian vogue, iD, visionaire, another and W magazines. go to www.artpartner.com for further information.

#003 Mark Lebon is a photographer based in london. Lebon established his reputation throughout the 80s and 90s working together with stylists ray petri and Judy Blame, creating fashion imagery that was highly influential and lead the way for the new wave of ‘grunge’ that emerged in the late 90s. cited by david sims as his greatest photographic influence, Lebon is currently working on his archive and teaching photography at the london college of fashion. click here to see his current blog on DoBeDo.

#004 Shawn Mortensen is an LA based photographer who is constantly on the move; from shooting dash snow for a fashion campaign in LA, to living with the Zapatista rebels in mexico, from being invited to dinner with the marley’s in jamaica to photographing backstage at a cassette playa fashion show in london. mortensen’s photography is always exciting and never fails to capture the excitement and true interest he has for his subjects. visit www.shawnmortensen.org for further information.

#005 Dick Jewell is an artist and filmmaker who released his highly collectible cult first book ‘Found Photos’ (a collection of found passport photos) in 1981. he has since exhibited his artworks and films around the world, and in 2003 released a second book ‘Hysteric Glamour’ published by the japanese label of the same name (available here). visit www.dickjewell.com for further information. click film #004 to watch an interview with Dick Jewell.

#006 Chardchakaj Waikawee is a young thai photographer based in bangkok. his work focuses on the life and characters he finds in his home city of bangkok. after successful exhibitions there and in Tokyo he has quickly started receiving commissions from magazines and has since traveled extensively around asia.
