In order to celebrate the 10th birthday of Levi’s Engineered Jeans, the jeans giants put together a limited edition anniversary pack based on the three original designs from 1999. These have been out for a while, but Levi’s have just released the limited edition Blast jean.
I’m not a huge fan of the Engineered Jean style, but, they are a genuine denim icon from the late 90s and the quality of this limited version is really impressive. With only 100 numbered pairs being produced, the fabric is a recreation of the denim used in 1999, an innovative mix of cotton and hemp in an intense green-caste indigo shade. It’s woven on a narrow loom with solid green selvage and features 18 carat gold button and rivets caste from original moulds and finished off with hand painted details.
