Oakley continue to build outside the realm of traditional ideas and concepts, which has lead them to this latest project. OAKLEY x fragment design O Frame is the initiative of Hiroshi Fujiwara and features a distinctive design. A collaboration which unifies two very bold names with differing backgrounds but with comparable approaches and philosophy’s.
The detailing and approach is second to none with the color pallet featuring a green iridium lense, coated by black iridium on green base while the matte black and matte grey frames define the O Frame. The iconic model is a favourite of Fujiwara’s and features the addition of a nose gurd is for mad guard and protection purpose in motocross riding. Completed with FACTORY PILOT strap which has been a staple of Oakley’s since the 70’s, the O Frame is represented with a joint Oakley fragment design logo.
While the O Frame has become a long seller based on its simple design which is a defining attribute this piece features some notable specifics. The highly durable and flexible URETHANE® frame seals with the comfort of double-layer face foam, and texturing on the interior surface helps eliminate reflected glare. Finally the lens are UV protective as well as feature glare reduction and tuned light transmission of IRIDIUM® lens coating.
The project OAKLEY x fragment design O Frame will be available in limited quantites from December 2009.
