Last night saw the opening of Opening Ceremony’s Tokyo store opening. Situated on a 7-floor spread inside SEIBU MOVIDA,’a mini-mall that function much more like the shop-in-shop retail concept. Each label/designer could facilitate their design concept beyond their merchandises, onto the presentation of those products within the store. As a whole, each of the 7 floors are based on a particular subject matter, with the presentation and the products there to tell the story in an abstract rendition. As expected the event saw a star studded line up grace the new floors of the newly opened store.’ At the new address 19-1 Udagawacho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo Japan, actor Jason Schwartzman, Kirsten Dunst, Andy Samberg, Yoko Ono and son Sean Lennon were hanging out at the private after-party. The event was also a brief R & R for designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Erin Wasson, and Alexander Wang who are all showing at New York fashion Week this year. See the opening images here.
