R. Crumb is once again at the centre of a hugely fascinating project, this time with skate shoe label Vans. The renown comic artist used his popular character Mr. Natural for the project and with the SK8-HI the canvas this release is certain to generate much talk. What is also the beginning of a four part project we can look forward to seeing a Fritz the Cat Slip-On and two Vans Vault releases in the form of the “Modern America” Chukka and the “Keep on Truckin’” Authentic in October.
