Tom Ford // Ok, so you’re not exactly “struggling” when you graduate from Parsons The New School for Design with a degree in architecture. But inside, Ford was struggling with the fact that he was drawn to the world of fashion, so he adapted it as a profession in 1994. Ford was taken on board by Gucci, where he turned a then bankrupt company into a billion dollar fashion house. He repeated this success with Yves Saint Laurent, and now look at the guy: he’s got his own line, and even a song dedicated to him by the most powerful rapper in the world. Not too shabby.
After graduating from Temple University in Philly, Drew began his journey into the world of internet publishing in media sales, which he hated, then as an editorial assistant for Philadelphia Weekly, which he loved. Now he’s found himself living in Brooklyn, working as our Editorial Director and somewhat reluctantly embracing his inner hipster. His buzzwords are tattoos, motorcycles, skateboarding. Craft beer and thrift store shopping are next.
