Francis and the Lights have a good thing going on. The energetic performances, a ode to the haydays of Peter Gabriel, Prince mixed with a funky and jerky almost downright rude performance of front man Francis Farewell Starlite, captivates anyone who has ever seen them live. They usher in a style of their own and by covering Bobby Caldwell’s “Open Your Eyes” it shows their creative spin on such a classic.
