Gabriel Reyes-Whittaker also known as GB has been part of the influential sound that has help sculptured the new wave of talent that has surged out of LA in recent years. His work has been sparsely released as his 2004 released “Soundtrack for Sunrise” gained worldwide acknowledgement as a start of a new sound to form. Since his 2004 release GB has worked with many including J*Davey, Exile, Steve Spacek, and even KRS-ONE, leading to his latest offering “GB Interprets His Contemporaries”, a free EP available for download from GB. The EP see’s GB cover pieces from Exile, Mushinah, Flying Lotus, and even the beach boys. A just due follow up for one of LA hidden beatsmiths.
