Fresh off their performance on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic comes Pollyn’s first official music video, “Still Love.” The visually stunning clip is a psychedelic acid trip inspired by the emotional journey described in the lyrics. For the video, the song is translated into a hypnotic piece of art that leaves a lasting, affective impression.
The second single from the self released debut album, This Little Night, “Still Love” is an 808 laced tale of pain and hope after a failed relationship. The album mix is accompanied by three remixes: the first by LA hip hop vets Sid Roams (Mobb Deep’s Prodigy, Dilated Peoples, Jean Grae), the second by Paris’s woobly beat master dEbruit, and third by London up and comer Blue Daisy. Each producer putting their unique stylistic twists to the source material, creating songs that could stand on their own right.
The Los Angeles trio, consisting of vocalist Genevieve Artadi, guitarist Anthony Cava, and beatmaker Adam Jay Weissman wrote and produced This Little Night. It was mixed by Kristian Riley and Dave Cooley (Silversun Pick Ups, Darker My Love, and Jaylib). Pollyn has also produced official remixes for Gorillaz, Buffalo Daughter, Liquid Liquid, and Health.
Pulling influences from Massive Attack to Talking Heads to Billie Holiday, Pollyn’s sound is unique and bold, but comfortingly familiar. This Little Night is available on Itunes, Amazon & Turntable Lab.
