Amos Presents ‘Wonder Women of America’ and ‘Where Is Silas?’ Books

"It’s the biggest geekgasm of the year and it just feels so damn good!!!" Devon alter ego: Rinave from Pasadena, CA. ‘Wonder Women of America’ is a visual celebration of how a particular group of women choose to express themselves, their interests, their freedom and their sexuality by dressing in costume at the worlds biggest comic book convention. San Diego Comic-Con is the largest fan convention of it’s kind, celebrating comic book, science fiction, fantasy and gaming culture. This book focuses on the women who attend dressed as fantasy characters. There are over 180 images, and 50 quotes from the girls themselves explaining why the behave as they do. They come from all walks of life, in all ages, shapes and sizes. They are colourful, sexy, glamorous, geeky and proud.

Written and compiled by Russell Waterman, photographed by Ruth Wiggins and designed by Robert Green. All three are former Silas collaborators and have not worked together since 2003 and the release of the critically acclaimed book, ‘Where Is Silas?.’ Expect this piece to be of great interest, especially as Silas celebrate their 10th anniversary this year.

Take a closer look at the books below and get them over at Amos Toys.
