BLENDS in Downtown LA was the setting for the Retrospectacle show that was put together by BLENDS and Oakley. There was a massive turnout for the event in which 20 pairs of an extremely limited pair of Frogskins were released. The sunglasses were difficult to create as they could not be mass produced given the nature of their design, so a small handful were released and as expected, they sold out. DJ Pube$ of Dance Right DJ’d throughout the evening as people consumed drinks and enjoyed the museum pieces provided by Oakley. Classics such as the Eyeshades, Razorblades, Blades, and original Frogskins were all on display in pristine condition. Bike enthusiasts were also treated to a showcase filled with the product that started it all for Oakley, their classic bike grips. The show is only running through Tuesday, so get to BLENDS before the pieces make their way to their home at Oakley headquarters.
