The book is created by Shumeng Ye, a Graphic design student from Helsinki, who was initially fascinated by the unique and classic style of the shoe, then became Instantly intrigued upon discovering its rich history in the working class society. Shumeng set out to capture photographs to reveal the story of the once popular sneaker. In the book, you will find photos of everyday working class warriors wearing these forgotten sneakers and it nicely highlights the contrast between the industrial and economical power in China, to the daily life of the country with its own distinctive sneaker culture. The book is limited to 420 copies and each comes with a pair of Warrior Basketball Sneakers.
