Moving on from the recent success of the works with Head Porter, CLOT have been hard at work with their label keeping things subtle and simple for Summer. Here are two impressive prints set for release at Juice.
The first entitled "Rainbow C", the T-shirt pays homage to Pixel Breaker’s Polar clock, a colourful visualization of the passage of time. A reinterpretation of the ubiquitous clock, with the time, day and date represented by colored bars which grow in a circular pattern and change colours as time passes. With the colourful print, CLOT continues to push the boundaries of conceptual design. The graphic features the concept of HSL, the representation which attempt to describe perceptual color relationships more accurately than RGB, while HSL stands for H(Hue), S(Satuation), L(Lightness).
The second piece of work is called "The Apostles", in general, the word apostle has two meanings, the broader meaning of a messenger and the narrow meaning of an early apostle, which is restricted to those directly linked to Jesus Christ. The more general meaning of the word is translated into Latin as ‘missio’, and from this word CLOT team get the English word ‘missionary’ to create this tee. With the wording "the act of apostles" on the front, the back of the tee features a subtle graphic, came from the mind of "S.Petrvs" statue in St. Peter’s Basilica with a throwing "C" hand posture.
