Thanks to Paul Mittleman for the heads up on this great article written by Jonathan Jones at The Guardian. With Cy Twombly’s retrospective opening soon at London’s Tate Modern, Jones takes the oppurtunity to express his distain over the profile Banksy has obtained in the modern art world, while at the same time showing respect for the amazing work of Twombly. Read the entire article here and check out the image gallery here. Very well written and a great insight into the artists work, its a must read for art fans, and for those not familar with the artist a chance to learn the name Twombly isn’t just a pair of Visvim sneakers.
