Folk Fall/Winter 2008 Collection

Folk, along with their footwear label Shofolk have built a very strong name for themselves with an impressive showing of late with their aesthetic defined by a handcrafted and well crafted simple cuts. Much of the design time is spent on fabric selection with the collection including Japanese double face cotton shirting, carbon finished Jerseywear and Bolivian Alpaca knitwear. This combined with detailing such as pointelle, textured tweed stitching and small touches such as Corozo nut buttons and Folk braille zip pullers help define collections that spans shirting, knitwear, wovens, jersey and accessories. The collection for Fall/Winter this year provides more of the same, adding some very unique designs to the staple pieces such as shirts and knitwear, which features some very impressive cardigans while my pick is most definitely the bomber jacket.
