Joey Santiago, guitarist for The Pixies, has scored a new football documentary for Nike entitled ‘Blood, Sweat and Tears: Football in the Rough’. The first installment will appear on NikeFootball.com later this month in the ‘Asia/Pacific’ section. According to a Nike rep quoted by Pitchfork, "This film is about guts and determination and Joey’s work definitely helps surface both of these qualities". To those praying for a new Pixies studio album on the back of their stunning reunion tours this all comes as cold comfort, but it will be worth checking out all the same. Thanks to NME for the news.
