China has been the focal point of the world at the moment since the Olympics have started. It has been a very pleasant distraction, as the games represent all that is beautiful about competition on a worldwide level. The imagery presented by network TV has been awe-inspiring, but New York based photographer, Dan Eckstein, has presented us with a more raw view into China’s landscape. The photos range from the Tibetan plateau, the demolished traditional Beijing neighborhoods known as the Hutongs, and other views of life in China.
