After more than 60 years in the business, Polaroid have announced they will be closing down, having stopped making their signtaure instant camera’s last year, and having manufactured enough to last them through to 2009, they have announced they will no longer continue within the market place at this point. I guess this was inevitable given the growth of digital photography and further advances in their technology making them more accessable and instant in their own way, but Polaroid will always be unique and will be sorely missed. I expect with this announcement the amount they expected to last through to the end of next year may not be enough. Thanks to Complex.
