"Matt Petty of the SF Chronicle recently made this moving video about the artwork of Phoebe Washer, the young Bay Area artist who tragically passed away in a hiking accident earlier this year. At a mere 20 years old, she had already created an impressive body of work. In honor of Phoebe’s life, a benefit show will take place this weekend at the POVevolving Gallery in Los Angeles called How Well Do You Remember? The show will feature a number of paintings and sculptures by Phoebe. In addition, a number of artist friends including Attaboy, Huck G, Will Smith, Todd Barricklow, Leigh Barbier, David Best, Michael Garlington, Phoebe’s special protégé Stella Brown, and many others helped to create pieces specifically to benefit the newly formed Phoebe Washer Foundation for the Arts. Limited edition prints of some of Phoebe’s key pieces, including How Well Do You Remember and From Above will be released at the show and will be available via POVeditions.com thereafter."
