Here is an interesting video providing some insight into how meticulous the process is for creating the right pair of jeans for denim enthusiasts.Gordon Heffner from Blue in Green takes the viewers on a tour of some of Tokyo’s best denim shops, as well as a denim treatment workshop that specializes in personalizing denim and speeding up the process of aging by making use of solutions and hand treatments. The attention to detail at this workshop is phenomenal! They can achieve different looks that conform to the lifestyle of the denim owner to give the impression that the jeans have been broken in by the owner over an extended period of time. Also featured in the video, is the recreation of jeans that were found in old miner’s camps that are dated back over 100 years. Although only scraps of these miner’s jeans were recovered, they were still recreate the special nuances of the antiquated denim. This is a must see video for any fan of denim.
