From Friday 22nd August for one moth, Elms Lester will host an extraordinary two man show with works from Brooklyn based, French born, WK Interact and Australian Anthony Lister who, incidentally, has been spending a good part of his working year in Brooklyn. This exhibition will be WK Interact’s first major exhibition in UK, despite having shown in group shows at Elms Lester for many years; works will include his instantly recognisable works, made of built up layers of wheatpaste collages and found objects, featuring his pushing, running, boundless, monochromatic figures. Anthony Lister’s work will include a series of his haunting trademark diptych / companion paintings on canvas, building on, and developing from, his recent Superhero themes.
In addition both WK Interact and Anthony Lister will be in the gallery on Saturday August the 23rd signing copies of the beautiful 64 page, fully illustrated, limited edition book, published by Elms Lesters to accompany this exhibition.
