Its not the first time a fashion house has used to the medium of film to showcase its upcoming collections, Chalayan recently did the same, Margiela in the past amongst others, but it is unusual for such a big house and historically traditional company would take this approach. The seven minute long film was used to present YSL’s Autumn/Winter Menswear collection, with creative director Stefano Pilati at the helm, Colonel Blimp’s Sarah Chatfield and Chris Sweeney were commissioned to create the film and present across 3 screens at last week’s Paris fashion week.
