Schott NYC have been churning out the goods this season and now they add to their arsenal with another collaborative joint with Japanese powerhouse A Bathing Ape. The results are realised in a Fall/Winter 2012 leather jacket based on Schott’s Riders jacket model. As should be expected from a joint effort between these two brands, materials are of course selected for their premium qualities and the selection process was exceptional to say the least – the designers selected the hide of a cow that had birthed a calf over two years before, as research shows that the resulting product is smoother and thinner than that of a steer but stronger and thicker than calf skin. The inside of the jacket features an OG Green Camo, reminding us of BAPE’s part in the process. Expected to release in the near future, you’ll be able to pick up the A Bathing Ape x Schott NYC Riders jacket for ¥84,000 JPY (approximately $1,070 USD).
