At the recent week of presentations at London Collections: Men, Oki-Ni was granted backstage access to the Christopher Raeburn, YMC and Christopher Shannon shows and was able to capture a few snapshots of all the behind-the-scenes action. Looking at these three collections collectively, we can see a strong, active, outdoors-y theme recurrent, from Raeburn’s seafaring explorers in his S-I-G-N-A-L collection, to the rebellious, utilitarian, new wave aesthetic of YMC’s “Dead Inside” and the casual comfort of Shannon’s AW13 offering, “Obsessive, Compulsive, Re-Order”.
