Detroit has played a pivotal role in countless elements of American culture, from music to car manufacturing, and so much in between. To commemorate these contributions, Levi’s has teamed up with filmmaker Aaron Rose to create Boom Town: Detroit in the 60’s, a short documentary that explores the culturally and financially explosive decade in the Motor City. This short film is highlighted by exclusive voice-overs from Russ Gibb — the owner of garage club Grande Ballroom — and Dennis Coffey – a renowned Motown musician – while containing visually impressive archival footage of nightclubs and musical performances. Bonus: It has a rad soundtrack.
