Billy Reid Wins 2010 GQ/CFDA Best New Menswear Designer in America Award
Billy Reid first won the coveted GQ/CFDA Best New Menswear Designer in America Award in 2001, the unfortunate realities of September 11th, put a stop to the designers progress, but the last year has seen Reid come back with a bang, culminating in the announcement last night of the NY designer as the winner of the 2010 award. Along with the $50,000 cash award, and acolades from being named the New Menswear Designer in America, Reid will also create a limited edition Levi’s collection for Bloomingdale’s.
GQ will profile all the designers nominated over the coming days, but fittingly start with Bill Reid.
