Dover Street Market pay special attention to its window displays each season, and this season is no different working with egg London. Featuring the fascinating collection of homespun peasant clothing from 18th and early 19th century France, painstakingly amassed over many years by the famous English costume designer and textile expert, Bryony Thomasson.
Bryony was born in December 1933 and began her career in textiles in the 1950s when she first
took a stall in Portobello Road. She travelled widely in France and all over the world collecting
textiles and clothes, and was a true adventurer as well as having a wonderful eye for colour, textiles and form.
