Dries Van Noten Fall 2010 Collection has just shown at Paris Fashion Week. Having a beautiful knack at mixing fabrics and patterns, Dries Van Noten delivers another fresh and forward look at their already established aesthetic. Styled with plaid on plaid, check over check and stripe under stripe, the collection has some wonderfully refined and traditional pieces as well as some looser shapes such as low-crutch sweat pants worn with suit jackets. Street style is definitely affecting the main fashion houses designs these days, but the ones who do it well still stick to their famous aesthetic drawings as a brand. I really like the introduction of ankle fasteners which pull the bottom of the trouser in at the ankle and the newest style I have noticed across the board is the ‘bust’ at the shoulder seam in traditionally heavier jackets.
