Folk, the London based fashion brand has opened a new store in Munich last week. The store is based in Amalienstrasse on the site of the old American Apparel store and will be a dedicated menswear space. The handcrafted aesthetic and subtle detailing that defines the clothing and footwear range is evident throughout the store. Recycled wood is used throughout on the walls and in the furniture, three marble heads from reknowned scultpor Paul Van Stone provide a novel approach to seating and the use of scaffolding poles, ropes and strip lighting capture the quirky detaling of the brand. The store in Munich will build on Folk’s current presence in Munich with  current stockists including Serie A, Harvest and Ruby.

Folk is a London based label with three of its own stores, as well as shop-in-shops in Liberty, the London department store and Amsterdam store Cowboys 2 Catwalk. It is also stocked in over 200 of the best independent and department stores worldwide including Selfridges, Liberty and Harvey Nichols in London and Lane Crawford in Hong Kong.   Initially established as a mens clothing range in 2001, footwear for men and women was added in 2004.
