Contemporary casualwear brand Folk has opened its Fourth store in london in the heart oF may-
Fair. The 800 sq Ft store is on the site oF the old GeorGina Goodman unit on shepherd market and will
sell Folk’s Full ranGe oF menswear and shoes For both men and women. Folk’s womenswear line
will be added to the mix when the line is launChed in 2012. The store will be Folk’s FiFth store (there is also a store in Munich), in addition Folk has over 250 wholesale accounts worldwide including Liberty, Selfridges, Bon Marche, Lane Crawford and Mr Porter.
Shepherd market is in the heart of Mayfair, tucked in between Curzon street and Piccadilly and has a eclectic mix oF independent shops and restaurants. Its 2 minutes walk From the stores on Mount street, Bond street and Dover street but has a more laid back, village atmosphere and a strong community that suits Folk’s DNA. The store design has similar elements to the existing stores with the use of wood cladding, marble heads from sculptor Paul Van Stone and rope hung lights. Clever little design touches
such as tables and benches made from old pottery wareboards match the ethos and craftsmanship of the brand’s clothing and give the store a welcoming natural feel, the store was designed in conjunction with Iya studio.
